really good quality for the price
This matcha is very smooth, it was ground very well so it mixes easily! it has a very nice flavor however since it’s delivered through Amazon and I live in a hot state that could alter the matchas flavor since its supposed to be cold. However with that in mind this matcha is still very flavorful with a slight nuttiness, there is no bitterness and despite it being delivered how it was it tastes very fresh. I usually get rishi everyday matcha because it is the closest thing I can get to actual ceremonial matcha at my local market, that one is also very good but this one beats the price and flavor for sure, I am extremely happy I found this it is such a good value for such a good flavor and formula, I’m looking forward to trying some of their other blends.

Fresh, vibrant ceremonial grade matcha thatâs aromatic, earthy, and enjoyable to drink!
So far, I like this matcha! Itâs 100% organic ceremonial grade matcha, and itâs of Chinese origin (per the company, their tea is harvested in Longjing, Hangzhou, which is in China). I realize matcha from Japan is considered the gold standard, but this particular brand is still of quality and delivers in terms of what you would expect from matcha. To start, it comes well-sealed in a small bag that is then housed inside of a metal tin. I really like that it came in a tin because this helps to keep the product fresh and protected. In total, there is about 1 ounce of product, and per the company, it contains up to 25 servings (if you use a full teaspoon). However, this will vary based on individual preferences, given that one may use anywhere between 1/2 to a full teaspoon, depending on how strong of a matcha taste you want. The color of the actual powder is a vibrant green, and it has a very fine and smooth texture. As for the taste, itâs earthy and is slightly more bitter than some other matcha powders Iâve tried. However, I still consider it to be on the milder side for matcha, so itâs very enjoyable to drink.Overall, Iâve enjoyed trying this out! I use this strictly for making matcha lattes or for drinking by itself with hot water. This isnât something I would ever use for baking since itâs ceremonial grade and culinary grades already exist specifically for that purpose. At the end of day, this matcha is comparable both in price and quality, to other brands of matcha on the market today. Given my experience has been positive thus far, I would consider repurchasing it in the future.

Earthy flavor, gritty residue
This ground tea has an “earthy” flavor when brewed with hot water. I do not have the proper whisk to stir the mocha and create a foamy beverage, and just stirring vigorously was not sufficient to prevent some gritty residue in the cup. More detailed instructions on the proper preparation of the tea would be helpful.

Matcha love!
I am in heaven and feel so spoiled now that I have this lovely Matcha. This is my first experience with Ceremonial grade Matcha and, hopefully, will not be my last. This is a small tin but is also typical of what is currently available on the market. In some ways, I wish it was more but, I also feel there is good reason for small batches for freshness and appreciate that. The directions are a bit basic on the tin if you are not familiar, it is a good idea to look up directions for water amount to use. It comes bagged inside the tin and I carefully snipped it open and had to first take a breath of the matcha powder. So fresh and grassy! And then there was that color – wow – it is so vivid compared to culinary grade! I knew I was already hooked!! I do not have the proper whisk for Matcha but, I found this was quite easy to whisk up into a nicely smooth thick paste with my little metal version. I added a little bit of pistachio flavoring and topped it with some home-made steamed cashew milk and that first sip – oh my! It is perfect. If you love Matcha lattes or Matcha anything – this is a great option to try. The location where this is grown and sourced along with being organic and crafted with care make this a great option for many needs – for yourself or as a gift – the size is perfect for a gift basket! Great overall value as well with consideration for the quality and flavor.

Smooth matcha with grassy notes
Upon whisking, Riftvalley’s Organic Matcha transforms into a smooth, frothy beverage with an earthy depth and a hint of pleasant bitterness, characteristic of high-quality matcha. Subtle vegetal notes with hints of sweet grass and the tiniest whisper of nuttiness, culminate in a taste experience that is both invigorating and calming for mornings and throughout the day.

Matcha coffee
I got a whiff of the matcha powder when I opened it for the first time and it was strong. The flavor is rich and tastes a lot better than other milk tea places where they use cheap powder. You can definitely tell the difference. I enjoy having a matcha latte with a shot of espresso, but those kinds of combinations are hard to find in most tea shops so it is nice to be able to do it myself at home.

Good product
Excellent, high quality tea. No complaints at all. Tastes like other high-end green tea that we have ordered from Amazon over the years — which is a good thing! The price is a little high, but it does also last for quite a while.
