A well specified package
The following is a review of the WAHL 8-in-1 Multigroomer Trimmer Kit. It comes in a cardboard box with the kit itself, instructions and mains charger (fitted with a UK mains three pin plug) plus cleaning brush and oil, a small beard comb – see photos â as well as a bottle of oil for the beard plus a shampoo/wash, all contained in a blue coloured zip-up carry case/pouch – very handy for packing into a suitcase or overnight bag. There are assorted interchangeable âclip-onâ trimming heads and length guides that all fit on the actual trimmer body. The trimmer has nicely spaced grooves along its body so is handy to grip. In use it works well, does not take too long to fully charge up plus is not too noisy in use when compared to my old, different make, model. It certainly give a very nice trim that is quite ‘smooth’ to the touch. If anything the supplied guides do need to be picked carefully as they seem to be slightly out in their lengths – or could it be me? Regardless, the actual package is very well specified and works as it should hence my overall rating.

Ok for shorter hair
Iâve had a few clippers over the years for my beard & hair and and all had their positives and negatives. This however has more positives than others for me. It comes with shorter grades, 1,2,3 which perfect for me. And an adjustable one if you need longer lengths 1-6 . However if you want it for any longer than a grade 6 it may not be suitable.Itâs lightweight, feels like their cheaper range but performs well. Foil shaver isnât great but I find they never are.One negative there is no light to see when charging is complete so itâs a bit of a guess.

Good value but not great performance
This is a great set on the surface, 8-1 multi/bodygroomer for under £50 including a travel bag is nothing to be sniffed at. However the quality of the items shows.Firstly the razor handle. It’s electric and for 60 mins of runtime it takes 12 hours to charge. Why in this day and age? It’s extremely noisy. Similar to those in the barber shop but personally I feel that’s too loud for in the home. There are other much more quieter bodygroomers.Performance is similarly not great. The default razor with no guards works adequately well. Trimming close to the skin after a few passes, however you won’t want to use this without a guard elsewhere and in that situation it doesn’t get very close. The detailing attachment works similarly but can be used in places like your ears which is useful, but personally not something I need.The worst is the foil shaver head. This doesn’t cut anything at all. It seems to miss every bit of hair regardless how well or close to press to the skin. This is close to useless. Other downsides are there is no way to tell the unit is charging due to no indicator on the handle. Additionally the plug doesn’t go all the way into the unit which is a bit strange.The travel bag is decent and the beard oils not something I would personally use. I feel these are just to pad out the entire package.In all I wouldn’t purchase this due to the poor performance, noise and low operating time but if you need a starter kit the price is okay value.

A good all in 1 kit!
This 8 in 1 beard trimmer is exactly whats needed to get the other half to shave and sculp his facial hair. They have the interchangable heads and precsision sculpting tools, as well as the different heads, theres oil for the beard and shampoo so a definate all in kit for any man who likes to make sure hes groomed to perfection, it all comes in a toiletry wash bag as a bonus! My other half after using tells me they worked well and his facial hair is much better and feels soft to touch which is great and be want to leave it in his bathroom drawer so he can carry on using the 8 in 1 set every few days which i think is brilliant as it means hes looking after his personal grooming and whats more loves the kit! And im appreciating it as a recipiant of smooth soft bristles not scratching my face up.
