Exceeded expectations. Actually works very well!
Wasn’t sure how well this would work given that it was about £70 worth of Chinesium from an unheard-of brand (“Hikity”?).Pleasantly surprised though, it does the job very well indeed. It starts up quickly, pairing is a doddle, and once the phone has paired with this the phone can then be paired with the vehicle’s own Bluetooth for audio (or you can use an aux cable).Exactly what I needed for my van (Mercedes Vito) which has the old Becker sat nav with the tiny non-touchscreen display. Amazed they were still selling that thing in 2016, it must have been archaic even then. Thankfully this little gadget brings it squarely into 2024.Unlike a lot of these things it’s powered by a standard USB-C cable, and will run off pretty much any bog standard phone charger (only needs 5 volts, so no need for anything fancy like USB-PD). As a result the same multi way USB charger in my van can run this, charge my phone, and power a dashcam, without needing some big clumsy 12 volt socket doubler.Only negative for me is the mounting brackets aren’t great. The suction cup doesn’t adhere to a textured dash and the bracket is far too short to use on the windscreen of most vehicles, unless you actually like reaching over the dash to operate the thing. Had to resort to using the sticky pad on the dashboard, which I don’t like doing as it invariably leaves a mess when eventually removed. At least the screen itself can be easily popped out to avoid leaving it on display when parked. Not worth a lot but there’s always some bag head around who’ll nick anything…

Early days
Item arrived quickly and well packed. Started to fit it to my car and the first thing I came across is the adhesive pad to fix the unit to the dash is a waste of time, just not strong enough and I had to finish up screwing it down which I was not particularly happy about doing.The connection side on the other hand was simple and quick. CarPlay worked as it should and the FM transmission to the car stereo was perfect.Still have to fit the reversing camera as I didnât realise the reversing light is in the tailgate of my car so have to work out how to get to the positive feed.So far I give it 4 stars because of the fixing issue. They should have used 3m tape.

Canât fault for price
Great bit of kit for older cars when you donât want to shell out the time and hassle of having a CarPlay system installed. Very simple to stick on top of your dash, connect your phone and away you go. Itâs only downfall is the start up noise which Iâve yet to find a way to mute but this has ended up in a running joke of my âtrain now arrivingâ for those that have one of these already youâll know exactly what I mean. Performance wise it can be a little sluggish starting up but once loaded itâs quick and smooth and all you could really ask for from the price range. Installation is very simple, just put the stand on, position where you want it on the dash, peel away the bottom tape and thatâs it stuck down. Sound quality from its FM tuner has been great so far, better from AUX but thatâs just another cable to run through so havenât even bothered. Have installed the included rear cam which is very usable as a rear dash (I donât use it as a reversing camera) not the best quality but certainly far from the worst. Great package at a very reasonable price

Unfortunately I had to send it back.
Unfortunately I have to send it back as the screen goes all fuzzy when the device is cold. I have ordered a replacement and will see. Other than that is working fine and as expected when the screen warms up and starts working.Update: Second Unit is working fine. What i have noticed with both the units when you select AUX as you output and connected to your car stereo the volume is too low. When you increase the volume on your car you get static in background. It works ok on FM output.

Avoid – screen disrupts and becomes unusable
Bought in July and Initially all went well and was working fine. However 6 months later the screen has started to fail particularly in cold weather it seems.

Initial impressions are fantastic. We had a voucher that bought this down to less than £60.The tablet feels solid and well made. Screen quality excellent. Itâs bright in the day, and even though thereâs no ambient light sensor, thereâs a setting allowing auto dimming at certain times of the night, so you donât get blinded by the screen in your face,The adhesive on the dash mount seems good enough, and hasnât led me to screw it into my dashboard yet (although there are holes in the mount, should I ever feel the need).FM transmission is not great. It works, but the sound is flat and prone to interference. When on aux it is flawless.We have had this mounted for a few days and it hasnât moved, or shown that it will move but time will tell. Itâs a shame weâve got cables on show (plugs on the back would be nice, but I guess it would make the unit thicker)For what we paid, this feels like a complete bargain and has really breathed new life into an older car.

As a TikTok creator/seller Iâm always looking to buy and sell things like this amazing Apple car play / Android Auto 10â screen. What a device!! Arrived today and very very simple to setup literally one USB Type C plug came straight on connect to Bluetooth and off you go! Speakers are not to bad and display can Auto Dim for night time driving. Easily navigate on the screen for Spotify, Navigation and more. If the seller was able to i would happily promote this product as bought this one for a friend.

Works well once you’ve fathomed how to connect it
For the money it is a good product. However. I did waste a whole week trying to work out how to connect it via the aux cable to the car stereo AND use it for phone calls (i-phone). Be advised. If you want to use it for carplay AND making and receiving calls. ONLY USE THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY. DO NOT TRY AND USE AUX CABLE AND BLUETOOTH TOGETHER. It works fine using Bluetooth for both carplay and phone calls. Just put your aux cable away and forget about it. Having said all that. It does do a decent job and worth the money. Changing to another phone is also a bit of a faff but if you are the main/sole user you don’t need to keep setting things up constantly.
