Just works
After giving up on an expensive V-Tech model that would lose Wi-Fi connection and then just died, we settled on this cheaper alternative to work with a google nest.It worked straight out of the box. Audio is great. Camera isnât wide angle but when placed correctly itâs fine. No Wi-Fi setup, direct connection only means stable and instant feed. Distance wasnât an issue across the other side of the house.The screen is pretty small but as a companion to a nest camera (that can drop out and in) itâs great. Temperature reading was maybe off by 1 degree but again compared to the expensive V-Tech model it was much better.Defo recommend if you just want something that works.

Inadequate.
Have just put in for a return of this item after one night, got this to replace another monitor that weâve had for 2+ years. First thing I noticed was the camera was so zoomed in that I had to change the entire set up in my LOâs room to have it at a distance that captured her entire bed, I honestly donât know how Iâd have made it work on a babyâs cot without using an extension cable and sticking it to the roof. In night mode the picture is low quality, and laggy, there is no remote pan and tilt from what I can see, which at time of writing this review is advertised for the product, along with HD streaming on the app, which Iâm pretty sure now isnât a feature on this device even though it is advertised, and a review mentions it. I couldnât get the pair button on either camera to do anything and I couldnât find anything on the app for the âviewâ version. I was really hopeful for this product for something at this price point with good reviews, but unless my unit was faulty I really donât see how so many people are loving it. I wish I could post pictures to show but for privacy I donât want my LOâs room online, but Iâd highly suggest looking for an unbiased review or something before purchase, becuase for us it really wasnât fit for purpose and caused more hassle than it needed to.

Other video monitors seem to lose signal all the time but this one has excellent range. Only downside is not great battery life but youâre rarely far from a plug.

Bought this because of the split screen. Not that many on the market. But other than that itâs not that good really. Firstly, you cannot stream video via the app. I donât know why theyâve included this on the details. This camera does not support that.Secondly, this is SO zoomed in itâs ridiculously hard to place in the room. So we put it further away, but the picture quality isnât very good so this means you canât see clearly. Really disappointed with the picture. Narrow view too which is annoying. (The Spear & Jackson baby monitor has an excellent picture and large screen and is reasonably priced)You canât seem to control the volume? Makes an annoying buzzing sound as well.Really does need a lot of improving.

Mmmmm ok, but had better monitors
Bought this because it could see Two rooms at the same time, on a split screen.A little disappointed with the fact it concentrates with SOUND only on the âMasterâ room, that you decide is most important, when in split screen.I wanted a monitor that would âwake ME upâ with sound, when either of the children woke up at night,Unfortunately, I can only set this to sound on ONE bedroom at a time, although you can SEE both rooms ???!!!Picture quality ok, but honestly had better on other brands .Disappointed to say the least , in my opinion

I love how it tells the room temperate on it and the night time camera is decent quality. The daytime coloured video quality isnât the best but I can see my baby ok and talk to her through the monitor. The sound is a few seconds delayed

Not clear enough image and too zoomed in.
We have returned this baby monitor as we found the image just wasn’t clear enough to be able to check in on our toddler confidently, it was a grain/pixilated image almost blurred when using the night vision, we found ourselves going in every hour or two to check in person, which defeats the purpose for us having a monitor.We thought even with other reviews saying the same thing about the images that we would be fine as it’s more just to spot check our toddler is still in bed but we couldn’t even make that out clear enough which is why we decided it wasn’t right for us.
