How to improve the GPS signal and provide accurate positioning
1. Stick the GPS antenna on the dashboard and keep it face up to receive a stronger signal.
2. If the windscreen is tinted with a reflective coating, it may be athermic and impact the GPS reception. In this instance, we recommend you to place the GPS antenna at the corner of the dashboard.
NOTE:
1.SD card is NOT included in package, please format it before using. We would like to recommend a Class 10 and above, 8GB-64GB Samsung or SanDisk SD Card.
2.To avoid connecting the fuse which the power will be cut off instantly when the car starts. Please turn the key to Start and check whether the test pencil is on all the time during starting the car.
3.Please measure the size of the mirror and check if the front camera will be obscured by car devices, such as visor or rain sensor cowling.

Hardwring Kits Installation

2.The yellow wire(B+) of hardwire kit needs to be connected to the fuse which is a constant power source.
3.The red wire(ACC) of hardwire kit needs to be connected to the fuse which can get power when the car is under ACC.

Perfect rear view
I purchased the Autovox V5 Pro so I had a rear view camera and a dash camera all in one, and because it looks OEM compared to other units available. Unfortunately the device does not have the right adapter for my Audi so could not fit. A message to support soon got a response and a new fitting was sent out that worked perfectly. Excellent customer service. Product works really well, and is well made and designed. The rear camera is a little on the large size and there needs to be a way to invert the image on the screen to facilitate fitting the rear camera in different positions, but overall this is an excellent product. Image quality is great, playback simple and easy. Good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Good value for money – works brilliantly
Reason for buying:
I purchased a VW Transporter panel van with no rear windows and no rear-view mirror. I also required a Dash Cam having had one in each of previous three vehicles.
Delivery:
I purchased an Auto-Vox V5 Pro Mirror Dash Cam from Amazon UK; it was delivered the next day using Amazon Prime.
Packaging:
The packaging it was contained in was up-market and sturdy looking, protecting the mirror, camera and fittings completely.
Build Quality:
While unboxing it was very noticeable the mirror, camera, etc. were well built with a high-end finish.
Instructions:
The instruction book was a little small for me. However, I was able to download an electronic copy from Auto-Voxâs web site. I watched several âYoutubeâ videos where people had fitted the same mirror and where people gave advice on selecting the correct fuse to connect to.
Service:
My van uses different fuses to those contained within the packaging. The instruction book states who to contact at Auto-Vox to receive the correct fuse taps. I emailed Auto-Vox giving my Purchase Order Number and type of fuse required; they where delivered the next day.
Installation:
Installation took 4 hours start to finish, prior to fitting I carried out a test connection of all the parts including connecting the feed wires to the fuse box, the mirror came to life and worked faultlessly. I unplugged everything, then began installation, referring back to the instruction book between stages.
Ease of use:
Iâve used the mirror dash cam for a couple of days, it has a clear, bright image even at night. The on-mirror menu system is intuitive when setting up for first use.
Satisfaction:
It is a great product; support from Auto-Vox was first-class; it was easy to fit; it works just as advertised; I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Amazing bit of kit – Bought for 2015 Transit Custom
Bought for my 2015 2.2L Transit Custom, and it was a direct fit, with only one hole needing drilling in the back door under the numberplate surround, all the wiring was the perfect length, and ease of install was a breeze! The video quality is superb, and having shock/impact protection front and rear means if anyone bumps you when you’re parked up, it powers on and auto starts recording and Locks the file for later review, same when driving if it notices an impact/shock! Also, the Customer Support from AutoVox is second to none, Kaya is Amazing!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a 5* front/rear driving camera/rearview mirror at a spectacular price!

Fitting to a 2021 Ford Transit Custom
I purchased the AutoVox V5 pro to go into a 2021 Ford Transit Custom which had no existing rear view mirror.
I won’t cover the technical elements of this product as they are covered in other reviews, suffice to say I am very pleased with the clean looks and the functionality that this product provides.
However, my vehicle has a large plastic cover on the top centre of the Windscreen for a rain sensor etc (it seems to be larger than the full Transit models), when this cover is removed it exposed an already mounted standard metal rear view mounting plate.
The position of the mount and the size of the plastic cover meant that the standard fitting bracket that is supplied in the package was too short for the front facing camera to view out of the windscreen.
I did not want to mess around attempting to remove and refit this plate and risk damaging the heated windscreen element or the actual windscreen itself.
I contacted the service team and was assisted by Kaya, I explained the situation and sent a couple of photos, she then arranged to send me a longer bracket which I received within 2 days.
The longer bracket helped to lower the mirror and front facing camera sufficiently so that it would not be blocked by the rain sensor (the direction of the front camera can be adjusted by hand to point in the best angle so that now it has a good view out front, there is still a little of the plastic cover in view at the top, but it is a large windscreen and high up so the front camera still captures the road ahead.
The only other issue I had was the refitting of the plastic cover once the extended mount was in place, again I contacted Kaya in Autovox support to see if there were any other mounting options, however the only other option would be to remove and replace the mounting plate slightly lower on the windscreen (there was around 3-4cm of space below the existing one), Kaya offered to reimburse the cost to purchase UV resistant glue to affix – however I mentioned I wasn’t keen to go down this route.
To refit the plastic cover – I needed to get some of the plastic trimmed away from the lower centre that was being fouled by the bracket (around 3x3cm).
I had been thinking that I would install this camera myself – however I was getting a lot of custom cage work fitted into the interior and some additional electrics so I asked them to do it for me. They said it was easy to do – I had also purchased the extension cable as itâs a long wheel base van, they fitted rear camera onto the plastic trim above the rear number plate and it provides a good view when functioning as both a reverse camera and rear view mirror. They also trimmed away the section on the windscreen mount far neater than I could ever do.
This is great product to add to a long van with no rear windows, it helps visibility greatly and has the added bonus of recording from both cameras. Hopefully it stands the test of time.
